I love Las Vegas. In fact, my husband and I love it so much, we decided to move there. The shopping, the shows, the lights, more shopping…it has everything a girl could ask for, including some of the best restaurants in the world. Unless you happen to be a vegetarian.
Vegas is not known for being a vegetarian mecca. And while they’ve come a long way in the past few years, it can still be tough to seek out vegetarian or vegan food on The Strip. (Other dietary restrictions don’t fare much better.) This is Sin City, and the restaurants are all about decadence.
So what’s a vegetarian to do? Steve Wynn recently became a vegan, so every restaurant in the Wynn and the Encore have a vegan-friendly alternative menu. (Even the steakhouses. And they didn’t even blink when I asked for it.) I’ve also heard rumors from some culinarily-inclined friends that if you call ahead or avoid the busiest nights at nice restaurants, the chef will whip up a special vegetarian dish for you.
But ordering off-menu can be a little intimidating. That’s where I come in. Follow along as I review the best vegetarian restaurants in Vegas. So the next time your friends suggest dinner and a show, you’ll know just where to go.
