Las Vegas Veggie Burger Round Up

I love veggie burgers. I realize they may not be every vegetarian’s cup of tea, but I’m a huge fan. My favorites are cooked well enough that you can actually eat them like a sandwich, but sometimes a homemade veggie burger is just destined for a fork. Either way can be delicious, depending on your mood. The same is true for fake meat versus veggie and grain burgers. Depends on the day (and the toppings) to see which kind I’d call my absolute favorite.

As any vegetarian knows, not all veggie burgers are created equal. So while they may be on menus across Las Vegas you’ll never get the same sandwich twice. Some are vegan, some are vegetarian. Some taste suspiciously meaty, while others were clearly vegetables only moments ago. But whatever your preference, I’ve done the heavy lifting to bring you my guide to veggie burgers on the Las Vegas Strip.

Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay

Probably my favorite veggie burger, thanks to the endless customization options. This house-made patty tastes fresh but it does fall apart easily. You can add as many toppings as you want, so pile on extra veggies and split an order of fries.

BLT Burger at The Mirage

It might be cheating to call this falafel sandwich a veggie burger, but it’s pretty close. And the rest of the menu is burgers, so companions will be happy. This patty is definitely soft and hard to keep between the buns, but delicious even on a fork.

Holsteins at The Cosmopolitan

Their Urth Burger is delicious, but even better than that, it’s vegan, too. Plus it’s topped with avocado, the best burger accompaniment I’ve ever had. There’s an array of meaty burgers on the menu as well, making this an ideal spot for a group that includes carnivores.

Sugar Factory Brasserie at Paris

Finally, a firm patty! And a double-decker to boot. This two-story veggie burger was a first for me, and quite delicious. It seemed house-made but the flavor was reminiscent of store-bought burgers. Which, for me, was a good thing. Also, they’re open 24 hours, a big plus.

Cheeseburger Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood

A simple Gardenburger, and yet possibly my favorite vegetarian burger in all of Las Vegas. I think it’s the shredded lettuce and pineapple, or possibly the delicious tropical drinks you feel compelled to order alongside your veggie burger.

Canter’s Deli at Treasure Island

Another firm patty that can be eaten with hands only! Canter’s serves up a well-portioned Gardenburger with fries. It’s your standard veggie burger from the well-known brand, but sometimes it’s nice to know what you’re in for. Plus, it’s available to go.

PBR Rock Bar & Grill at Planet Hollywood

While the veggie burger here isn’t exactly groundbreaking, they do get points for having not only a veggie burger but also a veggie sandwich on the menu. The burger is well-flavored and can be eaten on the bun. Great for a quick lunch or casual dinner.

Every time I go to Hollywood I love ordering the Veggie burger at 25 Degrees. I’m not sure if any one here has had it but it is amazing. I wonder if there is anything like it in Las Vegas. If so please let me know.

    Any suggestions for MGM Grand?
Love the blog. Very helpful as I’m going to be in Vegas next weekend and dread hunt for vegetarian protein!

Keep an eye on all MGM reviews here Donna:

Rainforest Cafe and Wolfgang Puck’s Bar & Grill are also great options.

A few other possibilities I haven’t tried yet but look promising are Diego and Pearl. Hope that helps!

This list misses my favorite: KGB (Kerry’s Gourmet Burgers) in Harrah’s. Not only is the patty fantastic, you can custom build your own creation with all kinds of vegetarian and vegan toppings.

Thank you so much. You have been incredibly helpful for my vegas trips. As a lifelong vegetarian I was concerned about eating in Vegas but you made it so very easy!!

So excited to find this site! I’m going to be in Vegas starting tomorrow for a conference at the Mirage (and staying at the Mirage sans car). I’m vegan and gluten-intolerant. Any suggestions?

Hey Janet, welcome to Vegas! The good news is that everything on The Strip is a quick cab ride away. Even better, The Mirage is almost directly across from Wynn/Encore, where they are well-versed in special diets and every restaurant has a vegan menu, along with servers who know what substitutions can be made for any allergy or intolerance. Gilley’s, at Treasure Island, has a great vegetarian chilli that should be gluten-free as well. I haven’t had a lot of success at Mirage itself but as I said, you are nearby everything! Further down The Strip, Scarpetta at The Cosmopolitan has both vegan and gluten-free menus, as does China Poblano (also The Cosmopolitan) and Julian Serrano at Aria. Finally, Burger Bar at Mandalay Bay Place has a vegan burger and an all-veg patty that is gluten-free. Hope that helps! Enjoy your trip.
