At first glance, Cheeseburger Las Vegas doesn’t exactly seem like a hospitable spot for vegetarian dining on The Strip. In fact, the menu is a bit confusing, starting off with burgers instead of appetizers or salads. But press on: this is a great spot for a casual vegetarian lunch or dinner in Vegas.
I love the veggie burger here. It’s a Gardenburger, so you know what you’re in for, but it’s very well-cooked. Plus, it comes with pineapple for a delightfully tropical twist. (The whole place is Hawaiian-themed and lots of fun.) Cheeseburger Las Vegas also was the first place to teach me that I actually do like lettuce on my sandwich. Who knew?
As a burger joint, the veggie burger is listed under sandwiches, so don’t worry if you can’t find it right away. You could also probably sub the veggie patty for some of the other burgers, but I haven’t tried this trick yet. The portobello sliders also sound promising for any mushroom fans. (I just can’t make myself like them.) They serve breakfast as well, but their real claim to fame is the tropical drinks.
It looks like a great place to grab a mai tai, and it is. But the food holds its own and the veggie burger is reasonably priced and delicious. The fun vibe? Just a bonus. Definitely worth stopping in for lunch or a casual vegetarian dinner in Las Vegas.
